Minimising the risk of fire breaking out is the number one priority in your fire safety strategy, as well as being a requirement of fire safety law. Good housekeeping, including some simple (free) steps such as banning smoking, testing electrical appliances, removing electrical heaters and training staff can have a positive impact on reducing the risk of fire.

Fire Risk Assessment and Consultancy Services

Fire-Rite offers fire risk assessment and consultancy services to support the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. A fire risk assessment is necessary in virtually all buildings in England and Wales, other than domestic dwellings. In order to provide customers with a high level of confidence when selecting a reputable organization, to conduct a fire risk assessment on their behalf, Fire-Rite is now a BAFE SP205 accredited Company. BAFE SP205 is an industry standard for companies undertaking fire risk assessments. It sets out criteria and requirements for not only the competency of those carrying out the risk assessments, but the competency of those who review and ‘sign off’ the reports before they are issued. It also makes requirements for the company’s quality management standards. Achieving certification involves a rigorous examination and assessment by a 3rd party certification body of the company’s management systems and processes, and evaluation of the technical competency of the staff. Our staff are witnessed carrying out fire risk assessments, and their reports are reviewed. They continue to be evaluated in this way as part of ongoing monitoring of the company’s standards. To demonstrate our commitment to continuous improvement in the quality and level of service we provide to our clients, we have sought and been awarded BAFE SP205 certification. With each fire risk assessment we issue, there will be a corresponding Certificate of Conformity. The Certificate is a statement to you, that we have applied the standards required by BAFE SP205, in undertaking your fire risk assessment. Fire-Rite offer a comprehensive and quality fire risk assessment service, throughout the UK, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland for single and multi-site organisations. Following an inspection by one of our qualified and experienced fire risk assessors, a personally tailored report cross-referencing the fire safety guidance applicable to your type of premises will be produced complete with priority action plan that when addressed will ensure full compliance. PAT (Portable Appliance Testing)

Fire-Rite can now help our clients ensure compliance with current legal obligations by providing a competent, secure and reliable Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing). All PAT Testing is conducted to comply with the institute of ElectricalEngineers (IEE) code of practice for in service inspection andtesting of electrical equipment.
