With 24 years experience in the fire industry, Gareth began his career on-the-shop floor and has taken him through every level of management to Director of fast growing FireRite. With his unique insight into this industry, Gareth leads this growing team at FireRite and currently oversees all departments from operations to sales and development.
Gareth sits on the committee of the Fire and Security Association (FSA) as the lead for Wales, his role involves reporting and advising on pending regulations within the Fire industry and advising and informing Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) members in Wales.
In his spare time, Gareth is a multiple Ironman athlete, a hobby which meets his zest for life and challenges.
Having served over 30 years with Mid Glamorgan and South Wales Fire and Rescue Services, in regulatory, operational and training, Gareth Evans has a wealth of experience in the fire safety industry.
Previously, he has been working with Business Fire Safety Department and subsequently was Chief Fire Officers Association (CFOA) UK & Wales Lead for Fire Safety in Care and Healthcare Premises. Gareth has represented CFOA as guest speaker at numerous National Healthcare Fire safety Conferences influencing review of many key fire safety documents.
Gareth has a first class honours degree BSc(Hons) in Building Fire Studies, is a Fellow of the Institute of Fire Engineers FIFireE and is a Graduate of the Institute of safety & Health.
Over 18 years experience within the fire industry starting as an Electrical Apprentice in 1999. Having completed my apprenticeship with Fire-Rite UK I progressed to the role of Electrical engineer specialising in the Design, Installation & Commissioning of Life Safety Systems.
In 2012 I was promoted to the role of Operations Manager and later appointed as a Director in 2017.
Married with 2 children, I am a Level 2 qualified Rugby Coach with the Welsh Rugby Union and I am currently involved with coaching the junior section at Senghenydd RFC. I am a very keen sportsman regularly attending the gym and playing squash.
With over 20 years’ experience, our HR & Office Manager Jane has been part of the FireRite team for 6 years. She works to ensure the day to day office operations are run smoothly here at FireRite. Jane is an associate member of CIPD having gained Level 5 in Human Resources.
In her spare time Jane is an active member of her local gym, and enjoys travelling.
As a senior engineer, Luke is in charge of servicing and maintenance of any and all types of fire alarm, emergency lighting, nurse call and access control systems. He is our Engineering Supervisor/Project Manager, in this role he is responsible for the running of all electrical installation projects, working closely with the FireRite senior management to provide a consistent program of works which enables our team of engineers to complete all projects to British and European standards, in-turn giving all FireRite customers peace of mind with their Life Safety Systems.
Outside of work, Luke is a father of two, retired rugby union player and vinyl collector.
With 16 years in the automotive manufacturing secros, specialising in smoke control, Jason Lewis is no stranger to our line of services. At FireRite, Jason is our regional manager for the Midlands, South West and South Wales, with his team of 10 engineers and regional scheduler. Jason has friendly attitude to support and motivate engineers and strives to improve efficiency.
Outside of work, Jason is a family man, father of three and an avid rugby fan as well as being the U16 rugby coach for the Caerphilly Juniors.
