Salary: £27,000.00 – £32,000.00 (depending on experience) + Benefits

Role Summary

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Fire Stopping Engineer to join our growing fire
protection team. This is a hands-on, entry-level role ideal for someone who is looking to build
a career in fire safety and passive fire protection.

As a Fire Stopping Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining fire safety integrity across a
range of sites.

  • Installing fire-resistant systems to seal openings and joints in buildings, to help
    prevent the spread of fire, smoke, and heat, ensuring that fire-rated walls and floors
    perform as intended and improving overall building safety.
  • Representing Firerite with professionalism and pride, ensuring client satisfaction at
    every stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install firestopping to seal gaps in walls and floors
  • Prevent spread of fire, smoke, and heat
  • Read drawings and follow fire safety plans
  • Use approved fire-resistant materials
  • Inspect and repair existing firestopping
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulationsTo consistently achieve agreed performance targets
  • To sell and promote all of Fire-rite’s services to new and existing customers
  • To keep the Passive Fire Protection Manager up to date on progress or potential delays

Key Skills & Attributes

  • NVQ level 2 in Passive Fire Protection preferred
  • Firas card preferred but not required
  • Previous experience in fire barrier systems i.e. Rockwell Curtains preferred
  • Previous experience in ablative batt work preferred
  • Willingness to learn related software on PDA
  • Full driving licence
  • Good communication skills
  • The applicant should be able to manage his own diary, be punctual, polite and keen to work as part of a busy fire safety team.
