Role Summary

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Trainee Fire Door Installer to join our growing fire protection team. This is a hands-on, entry-level role ideal for someone with a background in construction, joinery, or general maintenance who is looking to build a career in fire safety and passive fire protection.

As a trainee, you will learn how to install, maintain, and inspect fire doors in line with industry standards and legal requirements, working alongside experienced installers on residential, commercial, and industrial sites. This is an ideal role for a recent graduate seeking to develop a career within a dynamic and accredited fire safety organisation who are passionate about life safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of fire doors and associated hardware (hinges, seals, closers, vision panels, etc.)
• Follow instructions and learn fire door installation techniques in line with BS 8214, BS 476, and manufacturer guidelines
• Support site preparation, measuring, and adjustments to existing door sets
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, complying with health and safety protocols
• Document installation processes and materials used
• Use and maintain hand and power tools safely
• Attend training sessions and work toward gaining industry-recognised qualifications
• Travel to various job sites as required

Qualifications & Experience (Desirable but Not Essential)

• GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent)
• Basic experience in construction, carpentry, or general building maintenance
• CSCS card (or willingness to obtain)
