Gareth Selway

Gareth provides strategic and operational leadership across FireRite, guiding the business with a strong focus on life safety, quality, and raising industry standards. Having started in the fire industry in 1994 and worked at every level from apprentice to Director, he brings deep technical knowledge and lived experience of how great service is delivered.

Gareth is also heavily involved in shaping the wider industry as Chairman of the ECA (Cardiff & Newport branch) and Chairman of the FESS Employers Group Wales. He further contributes as a member of the Fire & Security Association Committee and the FSH/12/1 British Standards BS5839 committee. Passionate about developing people, Gareth has built a business known for its talent, culture, and commitment to doing things the right way. Outside of work, he enjoys mountain biking, rugby, and Ironman events.
